5º Bica da Cana

6º Miradouro do Rabaçal

Located at Pico da Urze, in Paul da Serra, from this viewpoint you can enjoy a beautiful view over the largest valley on the island, covered with the vegetation of the Laurissilva forest, a UNESCO natural world heritage. From here begins the path to the 25 Fontes levada, one of the most popular in Madeira Island. Its name lives up to the number of fountains or little waterfalls that is possible to count once you arrive there.

8º Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse

The Ponta do Pargo lighthouse built in 1922, stands on a cliff, 300 metres above sea level at Ponta da Vigia, the westernmost point on Madeira Island. You can also visit the small museum where several pieces relating to Madeira lighthouses are exhibited, photographs, documentation and a panel exhibition about the history of the region of Madeira.

9º Miradouro do Fio

This viewpoint is located at 364m just a few minutes from the Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse. In the past, in that area, there was a cargo line, which was used to transport goods, preventing people from going up the steep slope with huge loads on their backs.

11º Paúl do Mar

Paúl do Mar is an old fishing village. It is a parish located by the sea, surrounded by huge vertical mountains and is considered one of the warmest places in Madeira. 12º Jardim do Mar

The village of Jardim do Mar is a small town formed by a cluster of houses around the chapel and small paths that lead the visitor through charming landscapes, filled with colourful wildflowers and steep cliffs. One of the main attractions of Jardim do Mar are the waves, which welcome surfers from all over the world. This parish preserves the tranquillity of the old days. Up until the 1960´s, this remote village could only be reached by boat.

13º Calheta

14º Miradouro do Costa Verde

The Miradouro do Costa Verde is located on top of the cliff of Achada de Santo Antão, Arco da Calheta at 435 meters above sea level, even a few meters up another iconic viewpoint, the Miradouro Trigo de Negreiros (338 meters). For a better view, you need to go inside the Costa Verde restaurant to see the panoramic view over the parish of Canhas at the top of the mountain and Madalena do Mar coast and its slope.

15º Ponta do Sol

In Ponta do Sol we recommend parking and enjoying a walk inside the parish to visit iconic viewpoints such as the Cais da Ponta do Sol with a spectacular panoramic view, the Infante Dom Henrique park and viewpoint near the Ponta do Sol Church and many others at easy walking distance. Try to visit the artistic monument "Parede de Memórias", it is worth seeing it in detail.

16º Ribeira Brava

At Ribeira Brava you can park in the public parking lot located next to the Town Hall. From here, you can walk 300m and visit the Ethnographic Museum of Madeira, a 17th century manor house, comprising collections that cover various social and cultural aspects of Madeira Island. Also, you can walk down the inner streets to the beach and the maritime promenade, passing by the church of São Bento, the São Bento Fortress and up to the viewpoint of Farol da Ribeira Brava, which has an interesting view of the downtown.

Designed by architect Paulo David, Mudas Contemporary Art Museum, has received international awards for its architecture and seamless integration into the landscape and hosts various exhibitions, musical performances, plays and lectures.
